Pay: £12 - £15 p/h, depending on experience

This role brings that mission to life outside the shop, in the streets, neighboring towns, partner businesses, and local hotspots.

 

What We’re Looking For

As our Local Brand Runner / Community Marketing Assistant, you’ll be the face of The Mixing Jug throughout Marlow and the surrounding towns.

This is a hands-on, out-and-about role focused on:

• Distributing leaflets and promotional materials

• Checking in with local partners

• Finding new opportunities to showcase the brand

• Bringing fresh eyes, energy, and presence into the community

• Capturing simple content for social media

• Supporting small, local on-the-ground marketing activation

• Happy being outdoors, walking between businesses and hotspots

• Quick to notice opportunities in the community

• Comfortable using a smartphone to take photos, videos, and send update

This role could suit a local parent, student, freelancer, creative, or someone semi-retired who enjoys light, active, flexible work.

 

Your Experience (Ideal but Not Essential)

• Experience in customer-facing roles

• Confident approaching new people and businesses

• Previous community, marketing, events, or ambassador work (bonus, not required)

• Comfortable walking around town for extended periods

• Basic understanding of local community spaces

What You’ll Do

• Distribute leaflets and materials around Marlow and nearby towns

• Visit partner businesses (e.g. Porsche Centre, salons, gyms, offices) to restock and tidy displays

• Approach new businesses to introduce The Mixing Jug and leave materials

• Capture photos and videos around town and in-store for social media

• Check local hotspots (gyms, salons, hotels, boutiques) for placement opportunities

• Promote small activations (e.g. salon-ordering service, local events)

• Represent the brand at selected local markets or community events

• Provide simple weekly reports: where you went, what you did, what you spotted

• Suggest new ideas and opportunities that fit our brand
